CSS Makes Final Trip to Carter Gym For In-state Showdown

MACON, Ga. - CSS will broadcast from Campbell's historic Carter Gymnasium for the final time when Campbell hosts in-state rival Gardner-Webb tonight at 7:30pm ET.
Gardner-Webb burst onto the national scene early this season with an upset at Rupp Arena against Kentucky in the 2K Sports Coaches vs Cancer Classic. More recently, the Runnin' Bulldogs won at preseason favorite ETSU and enter the contest with a 2-2 A-Sun record
The game features the leagues top two rebounders in Gardner-Webb's Thomas Sanders, 10.1 RPG, and Campbell's Jonathan Rodriguez, 9.4. Rodriguez leads the league in scoring at 21.4 points per game. Sanders ranks third at 17.1. Sanders owns 10 double-doubles, Rodriguez has eight. The next closest competitor in that category in the A-Sun has just four double-doubles.
