MACON, Ga. - Jacksonville University's baseball team obtained more national recognition today as they received votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association preseason poll.

JU was the A-Sun regular season champion in 2006 and finished with an overall record of 43-19 The Dolphins advanced to the NCAA Regional in Athens, Ga., but were eliminated by the Georgia Bulldogs 15-8.

Jacksonville returns all 4 starting pitchers for the 2007 campaign, while only losing 3 of 11 position players.

The Dolphins open their season at Florida A&M on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 3 p.m.
