Macon, Ga. - The Atlantic Sun Conference office announced that Stetson outfielder/first baseman, Justin Bass, has been named the Player of the Week, and Stetson left-handed pitcher, Chris Ingoglia, has been named the Pitcher of the Week.

This is the second Pitcher of the Week award won by Ingoglia this season and the first Player of the Week award for Justin Bass. Stetson sweeps the awards for the second time in 2007.

Justin Bass, Stetson (Jr. - OF/1B - DeLand, Fla. - Sports Management): Led the Hatters to 4-1 week by hitting .500 (10-for-20) with 2 home runs, 3 doubles, 11 RBI and 6 runs scored. Bass boasted .950 slugging percentage and a .520 OBP on the week. For the season Bass is hitting .34 with 2 home runs, 19 RBI, 7 doubles, 2 triples, a .534 SLG, a .412 OBP, and 22 runs in 23 games.

Chris Ingoglia, Stetson (Sr. - LHP - Boynton Beach, Fla. - Marketing): Ingoglia tossed a 9-inning, complete game victory at UNF Saturday. He allowed two runs on six hits while walking just one and striking out five. He did not allow a hit after the sixth inning and retired 18 of his final 21 batters. For the season Ingoglia is 3-2 with a 4.00 ERA. He has struck out 29 batters in 36 innings, while allowing a .215 opponents batting average. Ingoglia was a preseason All-Atlantic Sun selection by the A-Sun coaches.

The Atlantic Sun Conference hands out Player and Pitcher of the Week awards weekly during the 2007 baseball season.

The 12-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, UNF and Stetson with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate beginning competition in 2007-08.

Other Top Performers
Martin Baker, KSU (So. - OF - Birmingham, Ala. - Exercise and Health Science)
Baker hit .550 (11-for-20) with four multi-hit games and eight runs scored. He also had three stolen bases and drove in three runs.

Anthony Russell, ETSU (Jr. - 1B - Waldorf, Md. - Business)
Russell hit the game winning grand slam in the sixth inning of the series opener with Gardner-Webb; his first of two weekend home runs.

Derek Wiley, Belmont (So. - 1B/3B/DH - Dublin, Calif. - Business Administration)
Wiley hit in each of the team's five games this week including four, two-hit outings.

Mike Armstrong, Mercer (Jr. - 1B - Evans, Ga. - Biomedical Engineering)
Armstrong raised his batting average by 30 points over the weekend going from .296 to .326.

Jon Dandridge, UNF (Sr. - OF - Jacksonville, Fla. - Finance)
Hit .364 (8-22) with 8 RBI, 3 doubles, 1 home run, 3 runs and 3 walks.

Mike McCallister, Jacksonville (Sr. - OF - Green Cove Springs, Fla. - Sociology)
For the week, McCallister batted .438 (7-16) with two doubles, a triple, a home run, and six RBI.

Carlton Floyd, Campbell (Sr. - OF - Riegelwood, N.C. - Pharmacy)
After batting .545 last week, Floyd followed it up with a .450 (9-20) week.

Boone Webster, Mercer (Jr. - RHP - Alpharetta, Ga. - Sports Management)
During his start over the weekend versus Campbell, at one point the junior retired 14 batters in a row.

Brandon Langston, ETSU (Jr. - P - Ringgold, Ga. - Interdisciplinary Studies)
Langston was 1-0 for the week, striking out six in the Bucs victory in their conference opener with Gardner-Webb.

Chad Jenkins, KSU (Fr. - P - Canton, Ga. - Undecided)
Held UAB scoreless for six innings before the Owls bullpen failed in a 10-2 loss. Struck out eight batters and allowed just five hits.
