MACON, GA. – As the conference enters the final weekend of the regular season, several spots in the Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Championship remain up for grabs and only one seed is set. Each team still in the hunt for the postseason battles this weekend looking to fight for the right to play for the A-Sun Championship next week in Nashville.

Friday's Schedule
Belmont at Mercer: (DH) Final
Game 1 - Final - Belmont wins 15-14
Note: Mercer would not give up but the Bruins held on the win and knock Kennesaw State out of the postseason chase.
Game 2 - Final - Mercer wins 9-8
Note: Belmont knocked out of the A-Sun Championship field by Mercer
 
ETSU at Kennesaw State: (DH) Final
Game 1 - Final -Kennesaw State wins 6-3
Note - The Owls win not enough to keep them in the postseason hunt.
Game 2 - Final - ETSU wins 4-3
Note - The Bucs lock up the No. 3 seed.
 
Jacksonville at Stetson: (DH) Final
Game 1 - Final - Jacksonville wins 9-7
Note -  The Dolphins lock up postseason bid.
Game 2 - Final - Stetson wins 8-6
Note -  Stetson stop slid and makes the postseason as the No. 6 seed.
 
Lipscomb at Campbell: (DH)  -  Final
Game 1 -  Final (11 innings) - Lipscomb wins, 9-7
Note Zach Messer hit a run scoring double in the 11th to break a 7-7 tie. Lipscomb's Andrew Nickerson tied the game at seven in the top of the ninth.
Game 2 - Final - Campbell wins, 5-4
Note The Camels hold on for the win and a winning season.
 
UNF at FGCU: (DH) 3:00 p.m. - Final
Game 1 - 
Final - FGCU wins 4-2
Note - The Eagles claim 300th win
Game 2 - Final - FGCU wins 9-2
Note - FGCU sweeps UNF and heads to its first DI postseason as winners of eight of its last 11 games.

Mercer's Tyler McCarty hit a two-run home run the bottom of the second inning to give the Bears a lead they would not give up.
The Bear's McCarty went 4-of-5 on the day and drove in four runs while scoring four runs as well.
Mercer scored eight runs in the first three innings on seven innings.

Clint Roques got the Owl offense going in the bottom of the sixth inning with a two-run two-out single.
Ross Tendler hit a two out two strike double in the bottom of the eighth to give Kennesaw it first lead of the game after trailing by four.
ETSU entered the game with a 23-3 record when leading after six innings.

Alex Martinez broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the 11th inning with a two-run double to left. 
Stetson's Jacob DeGrom did everything he could going 9.2 innings giving up just one run, while JU's Chris Kaminski pitched four innings of no-hit relief. 
The 3-5 hitters for Jacksonville went 4-for-13 with two RBIs while Stetson's 3-5 hitter went just 2-for-12 with no RBIs.

Kevin Nelson's RBI ground ball with the bases loaded in the 10th inning provided the decisive run to lead Campbell to a 5-4 win

Campbell's Jeff Rydman pitched right with Lipscomb's Josh Smith to keep the Camels in the game. Rydman went 9.0 innings striking out five. 
The top of the Campbell order remained solid against Lipscomb as the 1-3 hitters went 6-for-14 with RBIs and three runs scored.

Zach Maxfield's three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning gave FGCU and Chris Sale an early lead that they would not surrender.
Maxfield homered in two of his first three at bats, while Sale picked up his 10th win of the season and looks like he will win the A-Sun pitching triple crown (wins, ERA and strikeouts). 
FGCU moved to 17-6 when scoring in the first inning and 28-8 when scoring first.
 
Up Next: The Eagles and the Ospreys meet again Saturday in a doubleheader to close out the regular season.
