Moreland, French Help Mercer to 4-2 Win at Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. – The Mercer baseball team continued its stellar play in the Peach State after defeating Georgia 4-2 on Wednesday evening in front of 2,135 fans at Foley Field.

Tonight's win over Georgia was Mercer's first against the Bulldogs since 1992 and improved its record against in-state opponents to 7-4 this season.

The Bears now have three wins over top-50 ratings percentage index (RPI) squads this season after beating a top-10 ranked Georgia Tech twice and Georgia who is ranked No. 18 in the RPI.

Senior Justice French pitched four innings of scoreless relief and allowed just three hits while striking out five to pick up his fourth win of the season.
