Perfect Monday for #ASunMBB's ETSU and USC Upstate

MACON, Ga. - USC Upstate earned the Atlantic Sun its second win against a top-25 opponent in as many days as the Spartans downed No. 25 Kentucky, 8-6. Erik Samples led the way with three RBI on three hits.

The Spartans utilized two big innings; scoring four in the third inning and three in the sixth to remain in front of the Wildcats. Tresco Shannon claimed the win for Upstate, while Erik Samples secured the save.

ETSU swept its doubleheader against Longwood in two tightly contested games as the Buccaneers won 7-3 in the first game with two runs scored in each the seventh and eighth frames before a 12-inning 5-4 victory closed out the day for ETSU.
