Lipscomb to face National Champ Fresno State in 2009
Date Posted: 8/18/2008 NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Lipscomb's baseball team will get a chance to make another splash next season when the Bisons play national champion Fresno State. Last year Lipscomb beat Georgia 10-7 in the first game of the NCAA Tournament. Georgia went on to finish runner-up in the College World Series to Fresno State. Coach Jeff Forehand confirmed Friday that he has scheduled a four-game series at Fresno State for the 2009 season. Lipscomb will play the Bulldogs on March 27, a double-header on March 28 and another game on March 29. Forehand said his philosophy is to play stiff competition in the regular season, hoping it will prepare his team for the postseason.
