Lipscomb never trailed on their way to a 72-60 victory over Northern Colorado in the opening round of the Guardians Classic at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky.

Brian Fisk and James Poindexter led five Bisons in double figures with 15 points.

The Bisons will face the winner of Sunday's nightcap between host Kentucky and South Dakota State.
