Owls Get First Division I Win

FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The artic chill of Alaska couldn’t keep the Owls from getting hot as Kennesaw State won its first Division I game by trouncing Lamar 79-60 in the BP Top of the World Classic on Saturday afternoon.

The Owls (1-1) shot 55 percent from the floor and from three-point range as they dominated the Cardinals (0-2) from the outset.

Ronell Wooten scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead a quartet of Owls who scored in double-figures. Golden Ingle, who scored 29 points in Friday night’s game, added 16 points and five assists while Brent Ragsdale added 11 points and Israel Ingle dropped in ten points.
