A pair of Atlantic Sun frontrunners scored impressive non-conference road wins on Tuesday. Gardner-Webb defeated in-state Conference USA rival East Carolina for the second straight season, this time behind a game-high 25 points from preseason All-Atlantic Sun selection Simon Conn. Belmont drained 17 three-pointers to cruise past preseason Southern Conference favorite Chattanooga.
