BUIES CREEK - Carter Gym broils in steamy heat. An industrial-sized fan set off to the side of the basketball court whirls to try to keep the Campbell men's basketball players working out somewhat cool.

The fan is not working very well. The heat is still oppressive.

But the basketballs continue to bounce. The players continue to work. Laboring in a sweltering gym is no harder on the Camels than the 22-game losing streak they endured to end the 2004-05 season.
