Monday, December 26, 2005 Macon, Ga. – Brian Fisk put together his most impressive game of the season at Nicholls State capped with the game-winning bucket in the closing seconds to earn A-Sun Player of the Week honors. Fisk scored a season-high 22 points in the narrow 73-71 victory at Nicholls State. In the last three minutes of the Nicholls State game, Fisk scored nine points to turn a 67-64 Bisons deficit to a 73-71 victory. At 1:19 Fisk tied the game at 69-69 on a lay-up. With 11 seconds left he tied the game again at 71-71 with a jumper. Finally, with three seconds left, he drove into the lane to score the game-winner on a jump shot. The junior guard netted 16 of his 22 points in the second half. Fisk also added five rebounds and five assists in the win. The Atlantic Sun Conference hands out Player of the Week awards weekly during the 2005-06 basketball campaign. The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
