Kennesaw, Ga. - Florida Atlantic captured a critical early season victory with a 74-67 win at Kennesaw State to rise to the top of the early A-Sun standings.

DeAndre Rice scored 23 points, his third straight A-Sun game with at least 20 points to pace the Owls. Rodney Webb chipped in 17 points and nine boards in the victory.

FAU snapped a four-game losing streak and handed Kennesaw State their first A-Sun loss of the season.
