Florida Atlantic buried 10 of their first 11 shots and never looked back in a 72-51 victory at Gardner-Webb on Sunday afternoon that catapultaed the Owls back into a first place tie atop the A-Sun standings.

DeAndre Rice continued his prolific scoring during conference play, tossing in 18 more points in the victory. Florida Atlantic shot .583 from the floor including an 8-of-13 night from the three-point line. Meanwhile, the homestanding Bulldogs managed to shoot only .340 from the field while turning the ball over 18 times.

The loss was the fourth straight for GWU, all at home.
