Macon, Ga. -- The hottest rivalry in the A-Sun heats up when
Lipscomb hosts Belmont in the Battle of the Boulevard Friday night in the A-Sun/CSS
Game of the Week. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Barry Milligan and Sonny Smith will be on the sidelines covering all the action.
At 6-2 in the A-Sun, both teams are on winning streaks, and tied for second
place in the league. Lipscomb holds a 65-45 edge in the series, which resumed
two years ago after both schools made the move to NCAA Division I. Last year
the teams split the series, each winning on their home courts. Belmont has won
11 of the last 17 meetings.
The Bruins rank eighth nationally in field-goal percentage at .507, while the
Bisons lead the league in scoring defense and field-goal percentage defense.
Both squads have won five of thier last six games.
