Nashville, Tenn. - Lipscomb forward Eddie Ard scored 25 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had four assists to lead his team past Belmont 97-85 in overtime Friday during the A-Sun/CSS Game of the Week.

James Poindexter had 24 points for Lipscomb (11-6, 7-2 Atlantic Sun), while Belmont (8-8, 6-3) was led by Justin Hare's 20 points.

The game was tight throughout with Belmont up 42-39 at the half and the score tied at 79-79 at the end of regulation.

Lipscomb took control in overtime, outscoring Belmont 18-6 in the extra period.

Brian Fisk scored 16 and Michael Lusk 12 for Lipscomb. Boomer Herndon scored 16 for Belmont, while Brian Collins and Andrew Preston had 12 points each.
