CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Shuan Stegall poured in 24 points but could not lift Kennesaw State past host Chattanooga in the A-Sun Game of the Week. The Owls will face Alabama State in the consolation game at the Dr Pepper Classic on Saturday.

Chattanooga's Keddric Mays and reserve Kevin Bridgewaters combined for 35 points to lead the host Mocs to an 83-67 win over Kennesaw State in the first round of the Dr. Pepper Classic on Friday night.

Kennesaw State (3-10) was led by Stegall with 24 points, Ronell Wooten with 14, Andre Morgan with 11 and Golden Ingle with 10.
