MACON, Ga. - If A-Sun fans wanted to take an early guess at the league's top newcomer, they would have plenty of players to chose from. A whopping 73 new student-athletes will join conference rosters in 2006-07

No one was busier on the recruiting trail than Kennesaw State's Tony Ingle. The veteran coach added 11 players to a squad that debut in the A-Sun by winning nine of their first 10 conference games. In need replacing a trio of All-Atlantic Sun selections, Gardner-Webb's Rick Scruggs will welcome 10 fresh faces to Boiling Springs this fall. A new wave of talent should have been expected as only four all-conference choices from last season return with Brian Fisk and Eddie Ard back at Lipscomb while Justin Hare and Boomer Herndon around at Belmont.

Kennesaw State will tip-off the 2006-07 slate by hosting North Greenville in an exhibition game on November 2.
