HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Belmont associate head coach Casey Alexander and ETSU assistant coach Mike Boyd have been ranked among the top Mid Major assistant coaches in the nation, according to CollegeInsider.com.

Alexander, who enters his 15th season as a trusted member of head coach Rick Byrd's staff, was ranked No. 6 in a list of the Top 25 Mid Major assistant coaches. Boyd begins his seventh season in Johnson City and ranked 17th on the 25-coach list.

Alexander, a former standout point guard and Belmont Athletic Hall of Fame inductee, has been instrumental in the program's far-reaching success and development of its bevy of backcourt players. From all-conference standouts Steve Drabyn, Brian Collins, and Justin Hare to 2009 Atlantic Sun Player of the Year and Associated Press All-American Alex Renfroe, Alexander's impact is undeniable.

Moreover, given his lead role in scouting reports, offensive play institution, recruiting, scheduling, and game-planning, much of Belmont's winning tradition can attributed to Alexander's drive and high standards.

Boyd has a wealth of coaching experience, holding positions as an assistant at both Penn State and Michigan as well as a head-coaching job at Cleveland State. For the past six years, Boyd has held the assistant coaching position at ETSU where he is responsible for the development of post players as well as the teams recruiting.
