MACON, Ga. - Each day from Oct. 29th through Nov. 12th, the Atlantic Sun Conference will preview the upcoming 2010-11 men's basketball season with 11 Days of Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball. Today, we talk with Brian Mills, a senior forward for the Mercer Bears.

Top Returning Scorer: Brandon Moore, Senior Forward – Appearing in all 33 games last season, Moore enters the 2010-11 season as the top returning scorer, only one point ahead of fellow senior Brian Mills, after averaging 7.8 points per game along with his 4.2 rebounds per outing. Moore’s top performance came against UNF in a home contest in which he registered 18 points against the Ospreys and brought down eight rebounds. Moore produced ten double-digit points games last season including five in the last seven games en route to the A-Sun Championship game.

Season Opening Game: Oglethorpe at Mercer, Nov. 12th at 7 p.m. - The 2010-11 season opens with Oglethorpe University coming into the UC for a showdown with the Bears. Last season, Mercer opened the year with a 89-80 victory against Bucknell behind a 33-point performance by James Florence and a double-double from Daniel Emerson. The Bears return two starters from last year’s squad, while welcoming in eight newcomers.

Conference Game to Watch: Mercer at UNF, Feb. 18th at 7 p.m. – The Bears claimed the season sweep against the Ospreys last year, which included an 84-79 victory that was led by two 20-point games from Emerson and Florence. In Mercer’s home game, the Bears came away with a 10-point triumph after outscoring the Osprey by ten in the second half.
