MACON, Ga. - Each day from Oct. 29th through Nov. 12th, the Atlantic Sun Conference will preview the upcoming 2010-11 men's basketball season with 11 Days of Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball. Today, we talk with Brad Haugabroook, a senior guard for the UNFOspreys. Roster Schedule 2010 Season Statistics 2010 Season Results Top Returning Scorer: Jerron Granberry, Sophomore Guard/Forward – Despite being a freshman for the Ospreys, Granberry led the team in scoring last season with 9.0 points per game and tacked on 3.3 boards per outing. The Miami, Fla., native shot .840 from the free-throw line, which ranked second in the Atlantic Sun. Granberry twice registered 16 points in a game coming against Savannah State in a win and in a loss on the road against Northwestern. On four occasions, Granberry led the team in scoring including the previously mentioned contests. Season Opening Game: UNF at Florida State, Nov. 12th at 9 p.m. - The Ospreys make the trek to Tallahassee, Fla. for a meeting with the Seminoles to start the 2010-11 season after a 13-18 record last year and a 8-12 mark in A-Sun play. UNF returns four starters and bring in five newcomers to the squad, who is looking to improve upon its seven seed in the A-Sun Championship. Last season, UNF opened the season at Notre Dame and fell to the Irish despite three double-digit outings by Granberry, Stan Januska and Andy Diaz. Conference Game to Watch: Mercer at UNF, Feb. 18th at 7 p.m. – UNF fell to the Mercer Bears twice last season by a combined 15 points, which included a five-point loss at home. The Ospreys last victory against Mercer came on Feb. 23, 2008 with a 70-61 home triumph against the Bears on Senior Day, which also gave UNF its lone conference victory of the season. |
