MACON, Ga. - Each day from Oct. 29th through Nov. 12th, the Atlantic Sun Conference will preview the upcoming 2010-11 men's basketball season with 11 Days of Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball. Today, we talk with Mick Hedgepeth, a junior forward for the Belmont Bruins. Roster Schedule 2010 Season Statistics 2010 Season Results Top Returning Scorer: Ian Clark, Sophomore Guard – After claiming the Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year honors, Clark leads the Bruins into the season after producing 14.9 points a game last season, which ranked eighth best in the A-Sun. The only Bruin to start all 31 games, Clark raked in 23 double-digit point outings and led the team in scoring in 17 contests, which included an incredible 31 points against UNF on February 7th in which the Memphis, Tenn. native hit 9-of-11 from behind the arc to lead Belmont to a 70-56 victory against the Ospreys. Season Opening Game: Belmont at Tennessee, Nov. 16th at 8:30 p.m. (ESPNU) - The season kick starts for the Bruins against in-state foe Tennessee in the NIT Tip-Off on the campus of the Volunteers in a game that will be broadcasted by ESPNU. Last season, Belmont opened the year with a 74-67 triumph against Portland State behind 21 points from Clark in his collegiate debut. The Volunteers return from a run in the NCAA Tournament in which they reached the Elite-Eight for the first time in program history. Conference Game to Watch: FGCU at Belmont, Jan. 28th at 7 p.m. – FGCU and Belmont square off on January 28th at the Curb Event Center for a game in which the Bruins will be looking for revenge after falling to the Eagles in both games last season. FGCU earned a three-point victory on the road and then held on for a five-point triumph at Alico Arena to sweep the season series. Clark led the team in scoring in both games and tied now-senior Jordan Campbell with 15 points in the home loss.
