Tuesday, November 16, 2010 KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State Owls pulled off an impressive performance on Monday evening, taking down the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 80-63, at the KSU Convocation Center. Spencer Dixon and LaDaris Green recorded career highs with 27 and 19 points each, Green also notching 12 rebounds. The Owls (2-0) jumped out to a quick, 7-0 lead to begin the game and never trailed during the contest. Their lead grew to 20 during the first half on the strength of .531 shooting before the intermission, with the Yellow Jackets (1-1) never getting closer than five points the rest of the way. Iman Shumpert led the way with 20 points for Georgia Tech, who struggled from the floor at a clip of 35 percent. |
