Friday, January 07, 2011 MACON, Ga. - The ninth season Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) broadcasting Atlantic Sun Conference actions kicks off Friday with Campbell hosting Kennesaw State at 7 p.m. Markeith Cummings leads the Owls in scoring at 16.0 points per game, a year after pacing the squad as a freshman. Among sophomore in the nation, he stands poised to become the fifth to reach 800 points. He owns the fourth-highest scoring average among second-year players. Despite leading the Atlantic Sun in 3-point FG percentage at 39.3 percent, the Camels rank ninth in makes per game at less than five per game. Lorne Merthie boosts the team average, hitting on better than 47 percent. He has made 35 of the team’s 64 3-point tries. No other player in the conference has made a higher percentage of his team 3-point field goals than Merthie.
