CANCUN - Led by senior Jordan Burgason with six threes and 20 points in his season debut, Lipscomb came from behind to defeat Sacred Heart 79-77 Wednesday afternoon capturing the Mayan Division title of the Cancun Challenge.

The victory gave Scott Sanderson his 200th win at the helm of the Bisons.

After missing his first two attempts in his season debut, Burgason drained six straight 3-pointers providing the needed spark for the Bisons offense.

The Bisons held a 10-point lead with 3:22 to play but Sacred Heart scored on five straight possessions to take a 77-76 lead with 31 seconds left.

Senior Justin Glenn tied the game with a free throw with 13.4 ticks left but missed the second. Freshman Damarius Smith got the rebound and was fouled. He hit both attempts to put the Bisons ahead 79-77 with 10.6 seconds left.

Lipscomb shot 28-of-59 from the field (47.5 percent) and was 13-of-22 from downtown (59.1 percent).

Glenn finished with 10 points, a team-high seven rebounds and two blocks.
