MACON, Ga. - Mercer's Jakob Gollon picked up his first career Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor after guiding the Bears to two wins on the week and the program's best start since the 2004-05 season, while Lipscomb's Deonte Alexander set a career-high in points to earn the Newcomer of the Week honor - the third-straight for the Bisons.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Jakob Gollon, Mercer (So. – Forward – Stevens Point, Wis. – Communications)

First Career Player of the Week award
Averaged 13.0 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 3.5 SPG and 2.5 APG in two Mercer wins
Continues to lead conference in free-throw shooting at 93.9 percent this season
Bears off to best start since 2004-05 season with 7-3 record; lead A-Sun in wins

Keith McDougald (So., Jacksonville) – Set new career-high in points with 26 at Furman; second 20-point game of season
