Friday, January 06, 2012 NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Six players scored in double figures and Lipscomb shot 51.7 percent from the field in Friday night's 85-74 Battle of the Boulevard win at Belmont. Jordan Burgason reached the 1,000-point plateau with his 16-point performance as did Belmont's Mick Hedgepeth, who scored four in the contest. Jacob Arnett led the Bison with a season high-tying 17 points, and Justin Glenn added his fourth double-double (14 points, 10 assists) in the victory. The road win for Lipscomb snaps Belmont's 22-game winning streak at the Curb Event Center - previously the nation's eighth-longest streak - and gives the Bison five wins in the past six meeting of the Battle of the Boulevard. The conference loss is only the second for the Bruins in the past two season - both of which came at the hands of Lipscomb. |
