Friday, January 20, 2012 DeLand, Fla. - Stetson welcomes FGCU to the Edmunds Center for the CSS/A-Sun Game of the Week on Friday at 7 p.m. The contest can also be seen on ESPN3. Both teams enter the game at 4-4 in the conference tied for sixth nearly halfway through the league slate. FGCU prevailed in the longest game in program history against the Hatters last year at the Edmunds Center, taking a 111-103 decision in triple-overtime. It marked the first win for the Eagles at the Edmunds Center, as they went on to sweep the season series and tie the all-time series mark at 4-4. Seven of the eight meetings in the rivalry have been decided by 10 points or less, while the home team has won six times. Both teams are coming off the trip to Nashville last weekend. The Hatters dropped a 13-point decision at Belmont in addition to a overtime loss to Lipscomb. FGCU fared better against the Bison, winning 84-80 in overtime, but fell to Belmont in the Curb Event Center. Stetson has increasingly turned to junior center Adam Pegg in conference play. The Clearwater native is averaging 16.0 points per game in league play and is coming off a career-best 28-point, 14-rebound performance. He averaged 24.0 points during the two games in Nashville.
