Tuesday, January 31, 2012 MACON, Ga. - Belmont stayed at No. 18 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll for the third-straight week, while Mercer picked up votes for the third-time this season. The Bears and Bruins are tied atop of the conference standings at 9-2. The Bears earned 24 votes in this week's rankings, which is equivalent to 30th in the poll. This past week, Belmont defeated ETSU and Jacksonville, while Mercer laid claim to wins against Jacksonville and Stetson. Belmont has been ranked in the top-20 of the poll throughout the season. The Bruins take on Lipscomb at Allen Arena on Friday, February 3rd in this year's second installment of the Battle of the Boulevard. The 7 p.m. ET game can be seen on CSS or ESPN3. Mercer welcomes USC Upstate on Saturday, February 4th in a contest of top-three league teams.
