North Florida Duo Swoop In For A-Sun Weekly Honors

MACON, Ga. - North Florida swept the Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball weekly awards, announced Tuesday by the league office, after the Ospreys totaled two wins on the week against in-state foes.

UNF's Parker Smith crossed the 1,000 point plateau for his Osprey career, while BaeBae Daniels earned his first Newcomer of the Week honor following his 12 points, six rebound effort against Florida A&M.

  • Third Career A-Sun Player of the Week honor; first this season
  • Posted two 22-point games to guide Ospreys to a 2-1 week
  • Hit 13 three-pointers including six in a six-point win at Bethune-Cookman
  • Collected the 1,000 point of his North Florida career against Minnesota
  • Tied for 17th most career three-pointers in A-Sun with 220
  • Torrey Craig (G, USC Upstate) - Posted a season-high 27 points in comeback win at UNC Asheville
  • Sherwood Brown (G, FGCU) - Averaged 18 points, four rebounds in two Eagle victories
  • Travis Smith (G, Mercer) - Led Bears to five-point win at Florida State; averaged 14.5 points

  • First Career Newcomer of the Week honor
  • Tallied 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks in rout of Florida A&M
  • Leads the A-Sun in blocks per game at 1.7

  • Shot 53.3 percent from the field (8-of-15)
