Top-Two Offenses Battle in A-Sun/CSS Friday Night Game

MACON, Ga. - FGCU welcomes first-place Stetson into Alico Arena, where the Eagles have won 10 contests this season for the A-Sun/CSS Friday night contest at 7:05 PM. The Hatters are tied for first at 6-2, while FGCU is tied for third in the conference at 5-3.

• The FGCU-Stetson contest features the top-two offenses in the A-Sun with FGCU at 72.1 PPG and Stetson at 71.2.
• Stetson owns the top field-goal percentage in the A-Sun (.467); FGCU is second at .460.
• The Hatters lead the A-Sun with 16.9 assists per game; FGCU leads conference in steal per game at 9.0.
• FGCU’s Sherwood Brown, the A-Sun Player of the Week, is only 15 points away from 1,000 in his career.
• The Hatters are on a five-game winning streak, which is tied for the 23rd longest current streak in the nation.
• Brown is averaging 15.1 PPG this year and has led the Eagles in scoring in their past three games.
• Stetson’s winning streak is the longest for the program since a nine-game win streak in the 2005-06 season.
• FGCU has won 10 games at home this season, which is the most in the A-Sun this season.
• The Hatters defense has stepped up during the win streak as Stetson was allowing 76.4 PPG in the 14 prior games, but are allowing only 66.8 PPG during the win streak.
• FGCU has won four of the last five games against Stetson, but the Hatters won in Fort Myers last year, 86-80.
• Stetson is also taking care of the ball better as its turnovers have dropped from 16 per game to 12.2.
• FGCU’s Brett Comer averages 6.1 assists per game - 2nd best in the A-Sun. He has 7 career double-digit assist games.
