Adam Pegg Named Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete

MACON, Ga. – The Atlantic Sun Conference honored Stetson's Adam Pegg as the 2013 Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year to highlight the league’s Academic All-Conference team.

Pegg owns a 3.39 cumulative GPA as a Integrative Health Science Major at Stetson now in his senior season with the Hatters. The Clearwater, Fla. native has guided the Hatters to the third-seed in the 2013 General Shale Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball Championship by averaging 15.6 points and 6.2 rebounds this season. A two-time A-Sun All-Academic honoree, Pegg was also recently named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team.

The A-Sun introduced the new sport-by-sport Academic All-Conference teams in the 2011-12 academic year to recognize student-athletes who embody the conference’s mission of Building Winners for Life. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or better and participated in at least half of their team’s games.
