FGCU Grabs #ASunMBB Championship Spot With League Win

MACON, Ga. - FGCU collected a spot in the 2014 Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball Championship with an 100-71 win vs. Jacksonville in Alico Arena.

The Eagles were led by Brett Comer who recorded a career-high 30 points in the game, while teammate Eric McKnight added 22 points. Comer dished out eight assists and now sits in fifth-place in the A-Sun record books in career assists.

ETSU, Lipscomb and North Florida also picked up big wins in tonight's A-Sun action. The Bucs landed a 64-50 win at Northern Kentucky, while the Ospreys narrowly defeated Stetson 54-52 on the road.

Lipscomb came out on top in a back and forth game against USC Upstate with a 77-75 victory.

The Spartans' Fred Miller recorded nine assists in the night to lead all A-Sun players, while Steson's Brian Pegg snagged four steals in tonight's close league action.
