KSU and Campbell Battle It Out on CSS
Date Posted: 2/1/2007 In men's basketball action, Campbell travels to take on Kennesaw State in
the A-Sun/CSS Game of the Week. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 pm. Matt Stewart
and Sonny Smith will be on hand to give play-by-play and color analysis for
the regionally televised game. Campbell dropped a 64-55 decision Tuesday at Gardner-Webb when the Bulldogs
outscored the short-handed Camels 12-2 over the last 2:00. Campbell shot just
34 percent from the floor and made only 3-of-22 (.136) threes. Freshman Kyle
Vejraska led CU with 16 points, while Reggie Bishop added 14 and Jonathan Rodriguez
11, plus 12 rebounds. Kennesaw State comes into Friday’s game after falling 85-66 at Belmont last Saturday. Ingle posted 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting, while Morgan added 12 as the Owls allowed Belmont to shoot 58.3 percent from the field.
