MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men’s and women’s cross teams will host a pair of meets this fall as announced by head coach Ryan Bailey. The Mercer-Atlanta Invitational is set for Sept. 9 and the Georgia Collegiate Championships will be held in Macon for the second consecutive year on Sept. 30.

The Sept. 9 meet will be run at the Mercer-Atlanta campus course. The men will start-up at 9 a.m. with the women to follow.

The Georgia Collegiate Championships is set to be held at the Georgia Children’s Home, the site of last season’s event. The men’s 8K race is slated to begin at 9 a.m. followed up by the 5K women’s event.

The championships will include a slue of high school teams from around Georgia as well as a handful of Georgia universities and colleges.

“We had 19 colleges from around Georgia at our event last year and we are hoping for even more this season,” said Bailey.
