MACON, Ga. - Campbell junior Terence Attema raced his way to his first Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week honor after a second-place finish at the Seahawk Invitational Friday, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

Attema added to his strong performance from the previous week by placing second at the Seahawk Invitational on the campus of UNC Wilmington. The Smithville, Ontario native finished second in the 5K men’s race coming in at 15:15.34, only 7.12 seconds behind UNC Pembroke’s Pardon Ndhlovu. This finish marked the fourth top-five finish of Attema's career and the second in as many tries this season after winning the Campbell Invitational last week.

The Atlantic Sun Conference is an 11-member league committed to Building Winners for Life. The A-Sun stands for achievement with integrity in both the academic and athletic arenas, with a focus on the balance between the two for our student-athletes. Headquartered in Macon, Ga., the A-Sun boasts six of the top eight media markets in the Southeast. The A-Sun includes a blend of the most prestigious and dynamic private and public institutions in the region: Belmont University, Campbell University, East Tennessee State University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Jacksonville University, Kennesaw State University, Lipscomb University, Mercer University, University of North Florida, University of South Carolina Upstate and Stetson University.

Other Top Performers
Jacob Law, Mercer (Fr. - Indianapolis, Ind. - Engineering) -- For the second consecutive meet, Law led the Bears as their top finisher.

Piotr Witczak, Kennesaw State (Jr. - Warsaw, Poland - International Affairs) -- Finished sixth overall, fifth among collegiate runners with a time of 16:07 at the five-kilometer UTC PowerAde Invitational. Witczak led the Owls to a third-place finish.
