NEW ORLEANS, La. - In the preseason rankings of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings, five A-Sun squads adorned the polls. Kennesaw State's men's team and Jacksonville's women's squad earned the highest rankings of the conference schools coming in at eighth in the South Region.

The Owls and Dolphins are the defending A-Sun Champions and were ranked as the top teams in A-Sun Preseason Coaches Poll as well. Others earning regional rankings on the men's side includes Belmont in eighth and Lipscomb at 15th. UNF joined Jacksonville in the women's poll with their 10th place ranking.

The 2010 cross country season begins this weekend with nine teams in action across the southeast.
