MACON, Ga. – For the fourth time in his short career, USC Upstate’s Gilbert Kemboi received the Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week award, announced Wednesday by the league office. Kemboi cruised to a first-place finish at the USC Upstate Eye Opener meet in a time of 24:13, establishing a meet record, shattering the time Kemboi set a year ago. The sophomore now owns back-to-back Eye Opener titles at the Milliken Research Park, which hosts the 2010 A-Sun Cross Country Championships.
