UNF Gains Ground in Cross Country Poll

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Four Atlantic Sun Cross Country teams are ranked in the opening week of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings after one week of competition. UNF’s women’s squad earned the A-Sun’s top ranking coming in eighth place in the South Region, two places higher than their preseason ranking, while Kennesaw State’s tenth place ranking is the top men’s squad after falling two spots.

Jacksonville, the defending A-Sun women’s champions, trails the Ospreys in the poll in ninth place after the Dolphins finished second behind UNF at the JU Short Course Duals on September 3rd. Belmont’s men’s team dropped two spots to 11th after debuting in the preseason poll in ninth, while Lipscomb dropped out of the polls from the 15th place preseason ranking.

All 11 A-Sun teams are in action this weekend competing all across the Southeast.
