Haskins Races to First A-Sun Weekly Award

MACON, Ga. – A 2009 Atlantic Sun Conference Second Team member, Kennesaw State’s Nathan Haskins earned his first Runner of the Week award after claiming fifth place at the Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The senior crossed the finish line with a personal record of 24:27 in the 8K race to place ahead of 143 other competitors. Overall, the Owls finished fifth at the meet with 108 team points.

RUNNER OF THE WEEK:
Nathan Haskins, Kennesaw State (Sr. – Thomasville, Ga. – Sports Management)
• First Career A-Sun Runner of the Week award
• Placed fifth out of 148 runners at the Crimson Classic meet with a time of 24:27
• Team placed fifth at the meet out of 18 schools
• Time in the 8K race was a personal record

OTHER NOMINEES:
• Terence Attema (Sr., Campbell) – finished second at the Asics-Winthrop Invitational; set 8K personal record
• Erick Kigen (Fr., Belmont) – placed 10th at the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic in 25:58.44
• Argeo Cruz (Fr., FGCU) – set the freshmen school record with a time of 26:09.42
