NEW ORLEANS, La. – Kennesaw State's men's cross country team jumped four spots in the latest edition of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South Region Poll after finishing ninth at the Greater Louisville Classic, where they finished ahead of four Southeastern Confereence teams and two Atlantic Coast Conference squads. The Owls were previously ranked 11th in the region poll, but improved to seventh after the past weekend's showing.

Besides Kennesaw State every other Atlantic Sun men's team remained at their same spot in the poll or dropped a few positions. Belmont had the biggest slide of the week as they fell from 12th to 14th, while Lipscomb stayed put in 15th place.

On the women's side, Jacksonville fell to seventh from sixth despite winning the FLRunners.com Invitational and placing all five of their top runners in the top-five. They were followed directly by UNF and Lipscomb, who both jumped up one spot to eighth and ninth respectively.

This is the third time that a total of six teams from the A-Sun have been ranked in the regional poll and third-consecutive week. The USTFCCCA poll has been conducted for five weeks.
