NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont senior cross country/track athlete Hillary Cheruiyot was chosen to offer a Student Reflection at Belmont's Winter 2010 Commencement ceremony held last Friday, December 17th.

Cheruiyot, a native of Eldoret, Kenya who graduated last week with Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, with minors in Mathematics and Political Science, was a four-year letter winner on Belmont's cross country and track teams. Hillary offered a moving speech about the sacrifices his family made to provide him and his six siblings an education. He also highlighted his academic, social, and spiritual development that he has experienced during his time at Belmont and the challenges that his fellow graduates face as they enter a new chapter in their lives.
