Former Bruin XC Runner, Vyain, Breaks World Record

NEW YORK, NY - Jeff Vyain, a former student-athlete on the Belmont men's cross country team, set a new world record this past Saturday. Vyain finished a skateboarding marathon in one hour, 31 minutes, and 40 seconds on New York's Governor's Island, defeating about 150 competitors to leave with the $15,000 grand prize.

Vyain topped the previous world record for a skateboard marathon of 1:40:58, that he set in the inaugural skateboard marathon last November. The full article, detailing Vyain's victory and record setting performance can be found at ESPN.com.
