Kemboi Wins A-Sun Record Eighth Runner of the Week Honor

MACON, Ga. – USC Upstate's Gilbert Kemboi claimed his eighth Atlantic Sun Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award, announced Wednesday by the league office, to break a tie with ETSU's Kenneth Rotich for career A-Sun weekly honors.

MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK:
Gilbert Kemboi, USC Upstate
(Jr. – Eldoret, Kenya – Nursing)
• Eighth Career Runner of the Week award; A-Sun career record
• Placed 2nd out of 258 runners at Charlotte Invitational in 8,000-meter race
• Finished in a time of 24:14 to help team to a sixth-place finish out of 34 teams

OTHER NOMINEES:
• Filip Jalovy (Fr., ETSU) - Turned in a time of 25:00.33 at Greater Louisville Classic for 56th place
• Matt Miller (Jr., Belmont) - Placed 43rd at Greater Louisville Classic with time of 24:54.31
• Isaiah Greer (Jr., Lipscomb) - Led Lipscomb to victory in Blue Race at Greater Louisville Classic with 10th-place finish
