ORLANDO, Fla. -- The University of North Florida men's cross country team took first place in their second consecutive meet on Friday evening, claiming victory at the UCF Invitational.

The men, who won the FLRunners.com Invitational in their last race, captured another victory in Orlando by putting seven runners in the top 15 of the 92 runners. Senior Mike Strasser (25:17.59) led the way again for the Ospreys, finishing the 8,000-meter race in third place.

Senior Cameron Dickerson (25:37.11), sophomore Chris Haynes (25:37.48) and junior James Post (25:48.63) grabbed fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively, while sophomore Constantine Fotopoulos (26:08.60) took ninth to give UNF five competitors in the top ten. Sophomore Sean White (26:22.66) and senior Josh Brown (26:33.34) finished 12th and 15th to round out the Ospreys' scoring.

The team effort opened a length gap between UNF and the field. The Ospreys scored just 30 points, compared to runner-up Florida Gulf Coast's 72 and third-place Florida A&M's 75. Other conference opponents included Stetson (7th, 220) and Jacksonville (10th, 279). Twelve teams participated in the meet.
