Bisons Jump to the Top in the Final Men's #ASunXC Poll

MACON, Ga. - In the final Atlantic Sun Men's Cross Country Coaches Poll of the year before the A-Sun Championship, Lipscomb jumped up to the top-spot with 90 points.

ETSU narrowly fell to LU with seven first-place votes and 89 points to land in second-place in the poll.

The Bisons and the Buccaneers have been battling back fourth all year as in both the A-Sun Coaches Poll and the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Regional Poll. Currently the Bisons are No. 6 in the South Region, while the Bucs are No. 10 in the region.

The A-Sun Championship is on November 2nd in Nashville, Tennessee on the Vaughn's Gap Course with Lipscomb hosting the meet.

North Florida collected third-place in the A-Sun Coaches Poll with 78 points.

FGCU secured 66 points in the poll to land in fourth-place, while USC Upstate rounded off the top-five with 57 points.

The Spartans have claimed the last two A-Sun Championship titles and earned the last A-Sun title that was raced on the Vaughn's Gap Course.

Northern Kentucky stands at No. 6 in the poll with 53 points with J.J. Webber in contention to claim the individual A-Sun title. Wbber has won four A-Sun Runner of the week titles this season; the first men's harrier to achieve four honors in one season.
