MACON, Ga. -- Lipscomb's Jordan Wilson led the Bisons to a second place finish
at the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic and was named Atlantic Sun Runner of the
Week Wednesday by the conference office.
Wilson finished fifth out of 82 runners on a the wet 8K course in a time of
27:53.93. The sophomore from Brentwood, Tenn. earns his first weekly award.
He is majoring in Engineering Science.
The Bisons will be back in action on Sept. 30 at the Greater Louisville Classic.
The Atlantic Sun Conference announces the Athlete of the Week every Wednesday
during the 2006 cross country season.
The 10-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell,
ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida
and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.
