Chateau Elan is passionate about golf, so its no wonder that our two public 18-hole championship Chateau and Woodlands courses are considered among the finest in Georgia.

The Woodlands, designed by Denis Griffiths opened in 1996. Many consider this course to be the most picturesque of the three championship layouts. The stunning 6,735 yard, par 72 course (which will play at par 71 for the A-Sun Championship) has numerous elevations presenting memorable views of sparkling lakes and tree-lined holes to give players a blissful feeling of solitude. Golf Digest rated the Woodlands among the best in Georgia with 4 ½ stars. The Woodlands Course ranked in the Zagat Survey's America's Best Golf Courses with Very Good to Excellence scores in all categories. On Chateau Elan's younger sibling, a "must-play" that "requires a great deal of accuracy" ("try the up-slope side of the fairways for a good roll"); amid "beatific mountains and rolling hills" with "tremendous housing along the course", the "beautific setting" alone makes it "worth the trip" northeast from Atlanta.

MEDIA INFORMATION

The Atlantic Sun Conference Media Relations staff will serve as the primary contact for the 2008 Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Golf Championship.

FILING A STORY
A room dedicated for media use will be located adjacent the driving range. It will be available for use by conference officials, school sports information representatives, and various media outlets to conduct interviews and post stories during the championship.

RESULTS
Results will also be posted on the A-Sun Men's Golf Championship page on the Atlantic Sun website (www.atlanticsun.org) as soon as they are available. Results and a recap from each round will be also emailed to all A-Sun golf contacts after each round. Additionally, audio files from select participants and a slideshow featuring the day's action will be available online.
