Campbell Finishes Second At Pirate Fall Intercollegiate; Sundberg Fourth Individually

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Fredric Sundberg finished fourth individually to lead Campbell to a runner-up showing in the team standings Tuesday after the final round of the Pirate Fall Intercollegiate at Bradford Creek Golf Club.
Coming off last month’s victory at the Towson Fall Invitational, the Fighting Camels placed second to host East Carolina (865) following a final-round 293. Campbell’s 54-hole total of 874 strokes was four better than third-place Charleston Southern in the 14-school field.
Sundberg was among four Campbell golfers who finished among the top 14 individuals. A native of Gothenburg, Sweden, Sundberg shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday to finish the event at two-under 214. He notched his second-straight top-five individual finish following last month’s victory at the Towson Fall Invitational.
