Davies Finishes Fourth at Western Refining Collegiate All-America Golf Classic

EL PASO, Texas – ETSU junior Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) shot his third consecutive sub-70 round in the third round at the Western Refining Collegiate All-America Golf Classic Tuesday at the El Paso Country Club.
Carding a final round 69 to finish 8-under-par for the event, Davies finished fourth on the leaderboard at the prestigious collegiate championship. Vanderbilt’s Luke List took the title at 13-under for the tournament.
In 2005, the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic ranked as the No. 1 tournament in the country, according to the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. The 2005 field was extended to a record-high 32 golfers due to the 45 eligible All-Americans.
